IAHH character trait

If I could have anyone's trait I would like to take one from William MacDonald. He never lost hope! When everyone said his son was dead, William would say he's alive and would go look for him.

IAHH theme

There are many themes in the book "Incident at Hawk's Hill". One theme is to never give up! In the book William MacDonald never stopped looking for his son when everyone said he was dead.

Week of May

In reading we had a busy week.

We read 4 chapters of Incident At Hawk's Hill, started to write a career letter, and had a vocab quiz.

At the beginning of Incident At Hawk's Hill I didn't really like it, but now that we're deeper into the book I'm really starting to like it.
I am almost done with my career letter. I am writing to Kansas City ObGyn.

For our vocab quiz we had to memorize 3 chapters of vocab words.

School Day Decisions

From my personal opinion, I think school days should be longer. I say this because if we have longer hours of school, we'll have less days of school. Less days of school means a longer summer! I think school days should be longer and so should you!

When I grow up I'd like to be an obstetrician. An obstetrician is the branch of medical science concerned with childbirth and caring for and treating women in or in connection with childbirth. An obstetrician is linked with a gynecologist. In a hospital they are usually working together, or doing something related.

Incident At Hawk's Hill

Yesterday we started reading the book "Incident At Hawk's Hill". We haven't got very far but so far I like the book. The excitement in the first chapter really pulled me in.

Fake News

Today in class we read a play called, "War of the Worlds". We also read a Newsela article called, "The remedy for the spread of fake news". The two articles are similar because the play is "fake news", and the article is determining whether something is fake or not. As a kid determining if something is real or fake is a hard thing to do. If my teacher didn't tell me the play was fake, and I was reading it online, I probably would've believed it. In conclusion, all people need to learn the difference between real and fake news.
